{"id":768,"date":"2018-01-31T02:07:26","date_gmt":"2018-01-31T02:07:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/geekhaus.com\/3Dworld\/?p=768"},"modified":"2018-04-26T00:43:30","modified_gmt":"2018-04-26T00:43:30","slug":"braille-map-update-1-30-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/geekhaus.com\/3Dworld\/uncategorized\/braille-map-update-1-30-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Braille Map Beginnings"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Project Overview<\/h1>\n<p>Creating 3D maps of buildings throughout campus would be an extremely valuable resource for many students at James Madison University, and would aid visually impaired students.\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The goal of the project is to aid blind students when they are trying to learn the campus and get a sense of their direction. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is relevant to the real world because current campus maps and directories lay flat on a single piece of paper. Having an idea of building size, structure, and proximity to other campus resources are important in having a fulfilling college experience.
