Today in class we will talk about the Dragon Curve, what makes it a fractal, and three different ways that it can be constructed. We’ll also print some extra copies so we can make a huge model out of them later.
Although we’ll still be talking about the Dragon Curve next week, at the same time you will each choose a different fractal to learn about and 3D print. This is your next assignment, due on Tuesday, and it will require you to write a blog post with mathematical facts and find a 3D-printable model of your fractal. The full instructions and an example blog post are at First Fractal – Mandelbrot set.
