Monday 8/10 – Areas and Average Values

• You should have read and taken notes on Section 7.6

// During class

• Daily Quiz on Section 7.6
• Note that the Calendar has changed and the day with no class has flipped to FRIDAY
• Group work and discussion of Section 7.6

// After class

• Here is a suggested minimum set of homework problems for Section 7.6, which you should complete before class on Wednesday:
  • Thinking Back – all problems
  • Concepts – #0, #1, #2, and at least five more from #3–22
  • Skills – At least 1 problem from #23–25, 8 from #26–37, 1 from #38–40, 8 from #41–52, 1 from #53–55, 5 from #56–67, and 5 from #68–73
  • Applications – At least 1 problem from #74–77 (I suggest #77)
  • Proofs – At least 2 problems from #78–82 (I suggest #78 and $79)
• Before Wednesday’s class you should also read and take notes on Section 8.1 to prepare for the Daily Quiz. (Note that we will be skipping Section 7.7.)
