Mon 1/22 – First Pitches

Anything to Print?

Penny trap? Redesign of something from last time? If you want to 3D print something, take a minute to send the print now.

Make Your Pitch

Now it’s your turn to run the show. As a class, we’ll discuss each of the pitches you developed over the past week. I’ll try to stay out of the discussion except to provide advice about what kinds of 3D printing and design options are possible or difficult, or if I know something about additional resources.

  • Computers down – activate screensaver in bottom left corner, mice and keyboards pushed back, laptops away please.
  • One at a time, come to the front of the room and share your pitch on the computer or document projector.
  • While you are presenting your pitch, seek input from the class. What is great about your idea? What makes it relevant? What are its weaknesses or difficulties? Jot down notes as needed.

For Next Time

Create a model in Tinkercad that uses an imported 2D image or 3D model, to print next class. See the Assignments page for details.
